“How many participants on a training?”
No more than six. This allows time for questions and give everyone some one-on-one time with the tutor. Also this number creates a comfortable learning environment. Occasionally we may have a trained consultant on the course as a refresher.
“Is there on-going training available?”
Trained consultants are able to attend a regular training as a refresher at a minimal cost at anytime. There are also regular evening workshops on specific areas as required when the tutor is in an area.
“How much practical application is there in the training?”
There is a good balance of practical and theory each day along with discussion and question and answer time.
“Where does the training take place?”
Venues for training are generally Wellington and Christchurch. Trainings may be held in other areas provided there are a minimum number of four participants.
“When are training sessions run?”
The training is completed in intense blocks three to four times per year or as required. Check out our calender for training dates near you.
“How often are training sessions run?”
Twice a year at each venue or more often as numbers require.
“Is there an exam?”
Yes there is a multi choice test and a 70% pass is required. It is not difficult and is more like revision.
“What will I receive at the end of the course?”
You will be presented with a certificate on successful completion of the course.
“What sort of support do I get as a consultant?”
On-going training is also available for qualified consultants:
• A consultant can attend regular training or part-of for a minimum cost
• Questions and concerns are welcomed through the consultant section of this website or by phone or fax
• Learn marketing ideas, i.e. designing a business card etc.
• How to present yourself as a professional business person
• How to conduct speaking engagements (clubs, gyms, business groups etc.)
• Learn the value of public relations speaking (promotional events, fundraisers, and community groups)
“How will I get business?”
This is the most commonly asked question. Marketing and promoting yourself is covered in the training, how to design a business card and how to do promotional talks is covered. Word of mouth is still the best from of advertising so look good, sound good and be good at what you do, in other words go the extra mile! New business comes from the promotional time you invest. Such time is not simply an overhead but is an investment into your career and will return excellent dividends.
